Many years ago I worked at a residential school for blind individuals with multiple disabilities. It was an amazing experience! Eventually, I changed careers to raise my family. I was happy, but knew I wanted to work in special education again. I decided to apply as a special education paraprofessional and go back to receive my Masters Degree in Special Education. After many years of courses and working as a paraprofessional, I received my degree and NH Certification. I am now the lead teacher in a classroom at a school for individuals with disabilities. My students all have many IEP goals that include Academics, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, and Behavior Therapy.
