Many years ago I worked at a residential school for blind individuals with multiple disabilities. It was an amazing experience! Eventually, I changed careers to raise my family. I was happy, but knew I wanted to work in special education again. I decided to apply as a special education paraprofessional and go back to receive my Masters Degree in Special Education. After many years of courses and working as a paraprofessional, I received my degree and NH Certification. I am now the lead teacher in a classroom at a school for individuals with disabilities. My students all have many IEP goals that include Academics, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy, and Behavior Therapy. This school and job are AMAZING and I love going to school every day!
