This year, I am working with children ages 5-18 who are extremely emotionally and behaviorally challenged. Most of my students come from backgrounds that are far less than ideal at best and/or absolutely horrific at worst (abusive, homelessness, malnourished, etc). Deep down these children have hearts and feelings and needs just like any other children. In that, I absolutely live for the moments that I 'reach" my kiddos and make them smile, have hope, feel loved, feel safe, and further actually believe in themselves! I'm certain their futures can be productive and I adore each one of them. My hope is to raise a little money to stock snacks, a few games, stickers/rewards, and possibly a few bean bag chairs for the second half of the school year. The kids, staff, and I would be extremely grateful for any support. Thank you in advance even if only for thoughts and positive/prayers on behalf of our struggling youth.
