This will be my sixth year teaching in Everett, a city right outside of Boston. While Everett is a very industrious, busy town; it is mostly low income. A lot of my students can not afford the supplies that they need. A few years ago, I became disheartened after having students in my class come with so so little. That year, I decided to start buying all the supplies needed for all my students so everyone has essentially the same things. It can be expensive and usually runs me around 500$. Throughout the school year some students can not afford backpacks, winter coats, hats and gloves. I would like to be able to purchase these as well (if needed). By donating money, you will set my students up for a successful year and allow me to spend my money on 'fun things" for them, such as a field trip! Thank you for taking the time to read my story!
