I have always wanted to be a teacher. My mother says I would come home from kindergarten and teach my younger sister everything that I learned that day in class; that was the beginning of my life-long calling. I spent thirteen years as an Exceptional Children's/Special Education teacher when I hit a wall. Rather than give it up, I decided to change it up. I moved into the regular education classroom and have not regretted staying in education. Reading and writing have become my passion and I enjoy showing my students the places books can take them.
