I am a Kindergarten teacher in a small school in Kansas. Our school is a Title I school and many of our kiddos come from low income families. They are the best kids in the world! We do our best to give them everything they need for the very best education we can give them. Many times that means more than just teaching the ABC's and 123's. It often means giving them other things they may need. This is my first year in the public school system, and I LOVE IT! The people I work with are the BEST, the kids make every day of work worthwhile. Being a teacher is the most wonderful job there is! But it takes a lot of money out out pocket at times! There is only so much that the district supplies, and so much the kids need. Teacher do not teach for the money, because there is no money in it, and we spend so much of our own money to give our students what they need. But we will do it, for the kids!
