I am currently working as a special education teacher at the High School for Environmental Studies (HSES). HSES is a grade 9-12 school in Manhattan that offers a focus on exploring pathways into Environmental Studies. HSES is a unique school in that provides a larger variety of courses to meet the needs and interests of all students.
Teaching and learning in this new digital age requires flexible thinking and constant access to the skills and knowledge it takes to be a tech savvy learner and worker. It is a challenge for every teacher and learner. However, we will overcome our hurdles as we learn to adapt to new demands. While we do what we can to ensure all students have equitable access to the learning, we do need additional support to receive supplies.
