I teach Visial Art at a title 1 elementary school in the rural south. My year budget for art room supplies is $200. I am allowed to ask for an optional $5 donation to help with buying art supplies for my 800 students but the families I teach simply do not have a lot to give. I end up working several additional jobs to supplement the supplies I need so that all of my students can experience the joy of creating Art.
