About
My name is Julie Lucia. I have been teaching for 17 years, 9 of which in the 3rd grade. This year I will be teaching 28 first graders remotely, which will be my greatest challenge to date. I teach at Vine Hill School which has a very supportive parent community, staff, and admin. Unfortunately, due to rural zoning made many years ago our school district is already very much underfunded by the state. And now we are facing more cuts due to Covid19. This makes funding technology basically impossible. I love teaching. It is my passion. I would hate for a lack of technology and supplies to get in the way of my students being able to learn in the best way during the most unconventional times.
