I have wanted to be a teacher since I was 5 years old and helped my teachers grade in elementary school. When I went to college I knew teaching was where I belonged. I graduated and got hired right away at my practicum school. I've been teaching 2nd grade for 3 years and even with all the challenges of teaching at a Title 1 school with students at risk, I wouldn't change my choice to become a teacher for anything.
