If you would have told me 11 years ago that I would be teaching preschool, I would have strongly denied it.... However, almost 11 years later, I can't imagine life any other way! I am blessed to spend my days with an amazing group of 4 and 5 year olds. On a daily basis they challenge me to be a better teacher, a better human. Many of my students face challenges that most us can't fathom-some of those challenges are because of their home-life, some because of the way their brains are wired. In spite of the challenges, together we go to far away places, dig dinosaurs, build rocket ships, become Super Heroes. We go as far as our imagination takes us!
Like most teachers, funding for supplies is almost non-existent. More than 90% of the toys, supplies, educational items in my room have been created or purchased by me, been donated by families or a local school. The raised funds will go towards the purchasing items off
of my Amazon Wish List for my classroom.
