I work in a school district where 75% of the families live at or below poverty level. Our district spends a great deal on special education to bring these students up to the appropriate grade level. Therefore there is no funding available to send teachers to professional conferences. I want to provide the best instruction and atmosphere for my class to become live long learners. I want to educate myself on how to be the best educator I can be so that my class thrives.
