About

I have known I wanted to be a teacher since I was a young girl, however, through unfortunate circumstances I ended up quitting school in the 11th grade. I promised my parents I would go back for my GED, so I did at the age of 18. I stopped there because I also married my husband at 18 and we decided to start a family within a year of being married. I was lucky enough to be a stay at home mom for the early years of my children's lives. When my children were 3 and 5, I finally started back to school. I waited so long to become a teacher, but it was all very much worth the wait. I love teaching! I work for a wonderful school and have a spectacular 1st-grade team.
