About
I've been a special education teacher for 15 years. I've worked at almost all levels of education. I'm currently working a high school. We work on academic and transition skills, working on their IEP goals, and aiming to increase their independence.
I work with individuals with cognitive delays, many with down syndrome, autism, and physical impairments. My students are amazing people with unique personalities. They are kind and caring, and are eager to learn and interact with the world around them!
Earning funds for my classroom over the years has been difficult. The majority of my classroom is money spent by me. I'm quick to buy things for my students and my classroom, but am noticing it's using a good chunk of my paycheck. It's been difficult for families to donate needed school supplies.
I'm hoping to raise some money to provide my students with the necessary materials they need to be successful at school!
