I have the privilege of teaching Family and Consumer Sciences at Palisade High School in Palisade, Colorado. We have a wonderful FCS program. However, the kitchen equipment is in need of updating and the students need your help to restock their teaching kitchens.
These classes (International Cuisine, Food Science, Culinary Nutrition, Child Development, Relationships, Life Management) provide so many life skills to the students and I absolutely love teaching "real-life" classes. This is my first year with the program, however as you can imagine, 180 students using the six classroom lab kitchens means equipment is in need of being replaced after 15-20 years of use. Therefore, we are holding a Supply Drive and you can help provide these students with quality products that will not only help them learn life skills, but that will last for many years to come.
