I teach in Chester, SC which has a very high poverty rate. This is my first year teaching 2nd Grade. We need items that we can reuse every year since my classroom isn't fully established yet. My students have a variety of different learning abilities. Many are lacking basic social skills. Here in Chester county, we strive to serve students 2 meals a day. Because this area is poverty stricken, parents do not and are not able to provide all the needed yearly school supplies that we use. We have also had times were we have needed to purchase clothes for students as well. All donations received will help us provide our students with a loving and secure environment for our students. We are very excited about the upcoming donations and what they will be able to provide for our classroom. Here at Chester Park Elementary School of the Arts, We strive to reach every child every day and teach the whole child.
