Teaching is the best thing I have ever done. I began my teaching career back in 1988 and taught for 14 years. Kindergarten was and is my favorite age to teach. After finding love in my late thirties, I married, and finally had a baby when I was 40! I took several years off to be a stay-at-home mom. An unexpected bout with breast cancer did not ruin the special time I had with my son. When he was ready for school, so was I. This is my sixth year back and I feel like I teach more of a first grade curriculum than kindergarten. I still love teaching and feel like I really make a difference in young children's lives. I am blessed indeed.
