About
I got pregnant at age 17, dropped out of high school, got my GED and got married. Before the age of 20, I had 2 daughters. When they were both in school, I decided to enroll in college classes because I always wanted to be a teacher. It took me 5 years, including summers, but I graduated and started teaching in 2003 at the same elementary school that I attended as a child. 16 years later, I am still at that same school and I adore my school family! I hope to be here until retirement. I have learned so much and grown so much in the past 16 years. I can relate to my young parents and offer advice to them. Teaching is my passion and I can't imagine doing anything else!
