I've taught for over 20 years as a Pre-Kindergarten teacher in NYC. This year I am new to Florida and second grade. The transition has been a little hard but I've enjoyed it so far. The second grade team is friendly and helpful. I am enjoying working with older children but feel like I am still in a transition. I believe most of that feeling comes from the room feeling incomplete and knowing my students aren't totally comfortable in some areas of the room due to lack of furnishings and center activities. I would love to give them more opportunities to explore and learn and enjoy that learning. Update: This year I've gone back to kindergarten. It's been great but supplies are still needed.
