I have been teaching for 20 years and over the years I have witnessed the support of teachers and the classroom take a huge decline. Everything in my classroom has been purchased by me over the years which includes books and center work items. I recently had my third child so, I am not able to help with the needs of class any longer which means my students will suffer from not having the necessary things needed to succeed.

I teach in a school where the majority of the population is Somali. The kids have two to three siblings so the parents have a hard time helping out with the supplies needed in the classroom.
