I am a mother first, teacher second. My love for children is what drives me everyday. My nephew was born when I was 13 years old and I began to help out with him and my younger cousins a lot. As I watched them grow, I began to realize that molding young minds was something I enjoyed doing. I began imagining myself teaching long into my golden years. Since obtaining my degree, it has been my mission in my career to make learning fun. I attempt to bring fun and engaging lessons each day, to capture the learner. Life-long learning is what teach my students to thrive for. I also model the behavior by staying constantly engaged in some type of class, soaking up knowledge. You have to be the change you want to see in the world!
This current school year I have moved to a new building and changed grades. Whew! Can you say transition?! I will be teaching Kindergarten for the first time in over 8 years, and if you can imagine I have nothing of the sort. Your help will aid in my purchasing items for their centers. I will need dolls, clothes and items for the dolls, play food, books, some technology, manipulates, and flexible seating.
