"Ms. Mayes, I need a recommendation for a good book!" I hear this at least three to four times a day from a variety of students who visit the school library. During a typical school day, students in grades 6-8 visit the library for readers' advisory, to work on projects, and participate in their Digital Literacy class. The library hosts a variety of after school clubs from programming to Pokemon, where students can share their passions with one another in a productive and safe learning environment.

Our students are diverse and have a wide range of learning backgrounds and experiences, and therefore a wide range of needs.
We serve a large population of ELL students at our middle school and work to serve every member of our school community through education that meets the needs of our 21st Century learners.
