Students with emotional and behavioral disorders have an inability to learn that cannot be explained by intellectual, sensory, or health factors. These students may have an inability to build positive relationships with peers or teachers, a general pervasive mood of unhappiness or depression, or a tendency to develop physical symptoms or fears associated with personal or school problems.

Considering all that is against them, my students are still excelling and becoming part of a team.
Many of my students have experienced trauma in their lives and have difficulty coming to school. The majority don't have support in the community or at home. In order to continue to be successful they need to feel supported at school. My classroom of 11 amazing students is doing just that. I am giving them a place to feel supported and create gains emotionally and educationally.

This program is working! As a small community within Justice Page, behaviors are becoming less intense, less frequent, and more positive. Now that relationships, behavior expectations, and community has been established, academic work can be addressed.
