Amy Harren

My name is Amy Harren and I am the proud mother of four wonderful humans. I am a life-long learner and enjoy spreading my love of gaining knowledge to my middle and high school students. As both a general education and special education teacher, I see both struggles and strengths in all of my students. Regardless of abilities or environment, our youth have the right to a challenging and rewarding education. I recognize trauma and how this influences a child's abilities; I also recognize the harm of allowing trauma to become a crutch. Teaching a child how to use their ability to persevere through those challenges as a means of conquering future goals, builds confidence.
