“You cannot succeed unless you try.” I tell my kids this line all the time for motivation to do well physically, mentally, and academically.
Years of experience
Students this year
I grew up with not much motivation in life as a child/teenager. My teachers were always there for me and were the reason I found a light and got motivated in schoolwork/life. I learned from my past and realized I want do the same for lost kids. I’ve also had an impact for mathematics so it was a perfect fit to become a mathematics high school teacher. I believe I have reached a lot of kids and want to continue going above and beyond to reach them through other areas using extracurricular activities. Working at a charter school we have to provide our own materials. I want to raise money to get these kids a volleyball net and volleyball for some outside run with the kiddos.
How will funding help my students?
I am constantly spending my own money to buy candy, food, party items, lesson plans, and other classroom materials for my students. I want to provide more extracurricular activities for my students this year by buying a volleyball net for the kiddos to start up a volleyball team. I also want to be able to donate winter items to students who need them in Akron.
Number of students who will be impacted: 120
