Adriana Toles

I am a proud first generation United States citizen, high school graduate, and college graduate. In my life, I have experienced both great tragedy, and great triumph. Because of my experiences, I, naturally, relate to my students and their struggles. I became a teacher in 2008, because I wanted to be the educator that I wished that I had growing up. I wanted to be the representation and the hope that I so desperately needed as a young girl. After teaching for 10 years, and witnessing, first-hand, just how much my students struggle with past and current trauma, and how that limits their academic, social, and emotional abilities, I became a high school counselor. In my role, as a counselor, I conduct small group counseling sessions, provide individual student interventions, and most importantly see and value my students for who they really are. I have the great honor of listening to some of the most beautiful as well as heartbreaking stories. I am committed to my students, and committed to the positive impact that they will continue to make on our campus, in their homes, in our community, and ultimately the world.
