I began teaching preschool overseas in Germany on a military base in 2012. It was then that I fell in love with the occupation and wanted to make a difference in the lives of the children that I had the opportunity to be surrounded by each day. You see, I had a really rough childhood. I was surrounded by drugs, alcohol, and abuse. All of these things could have detrimentally affected my life, but I decided to use my experiences to make sure that the students who walk through my classroom doors have someone they can depend on. Someone who will keep them safe and fight for not only their education, but also for their well being. I've created a safe space where my students WANT to learn.
