Travonne Edwards

Hello! My name is Travonne Edwards I was born and raised in Compton, California. I attended Waldorf College in Iowa, where I received a Bachelor of Arts in Foundations of Education while playing collegiate basketball. I have lived in many areas of the country, but Arizona has been my home for about six years.
I began to consider Education as a career during my junior year when I joined the English department at Waldorf. In the summer of 2014, I had the opportunity to apply to Montessori. My career began on our Cactus campus as an Assistant to Ms. Veronique. Two months later I transferred to E1 and assisted Dr. Hegstad. I knew instantly that this was the type of teaching environment that I wanted to be immersed in. The following summer I attended Houston Montessori Center to complete my Montessori Training. I went on to be a lead assistant under Dr. Hegstad and Jamie Hinch.
This is my fifth year at Mission, I am truly fulfilled every day in my classroom and I am looking forward to helping your child become a lifelong learner! Hello!
