I am an English teacher at Crestwood High School in Sumter, South Carolina, which is a title one school in a low income area. I am looking for innovative ways to help my students improve in their reading, writing, and literacy skills. I want my students to be able to really explore and interact with what they are reading. I also want students to interact and be able to use technology in order to grow as learners in our technologically evolving world. With the right supplies in the classroom I am looking forward to help my students grow as close readers, writers, and active learners.

With the beginning of a new school year it is time to gather up supplies for my incoming students. I will be teaching rising ninth grade and tenth grade students this year, and I have a list of supplies on Amazon that will help my students meet the basic needs and requirements in my classroom, this includes notebook paper, pens, pencils, sticky notes, dry erase pocket sleeves, dry erase markers for student use, highlighters, and office organizers so that students know where to turn assignments in and pick assignments up.

In addition to school supplies, I will also be purchasing tissue, hand sanitizer, and sanitizer spray as a clean and kept up classroom is a healthy and inviting classroom.
