At Rosemont Elementary our student population is very diverse. We have 43.2 percent African American, 8.5 percent Asian, 20 percent Caucasian, 14.4 percent Hispanic, 13.4 percent multiracial, and 0.5 percent or less Native Hawaiian or American Indian. I teach 23 Fifth Grade students, all with different learning abilities. Each child's ability comes with great determination, hard work, and success. They all live together in a tight knit community and most have been in school together since Kindergarten. Together as a class we are open to collaborate, bounce ideas off one another, and create a culture that makes everyone comfortable to flourish.

I believe that providing an active classroom to my students promotes engagement and a love for learning. I have the kind of students that need to work with things in their hands, move around the room, and have different options for learning. Its an amazing feeling to have students who still love to go to school and I will never stop providing that for them.
