My students walk into our classroom every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day. They come from a neighborhood where poverty, violence, and gangs are a reality. When they enter my classroom, they feel safe and are engaged in learning. I want them to know I believe in them and that they can do anything.

I teach at a Title I school in Los Angeles where 100% of our students receive free breakfast.

I decided to join TeacherFunder because I need help to provide my students with basic school materials to be successful. We need crayons, color pencils, pencils, erasers, large post it chart paper, and other basic materials. I would also like to repurchase Scholastic Storyworks magazine for them.
