Kaselle Crislip

Hi, my name is Kaselle Crislip. I am an elementary school teacher at Del Sol Academy in Jurupa Unified School District, located in Jurupa Valley, California. I just finished my 5th year of teaching. I spent my first year teaching 4th grade, and the next four years teaching Kindergarten. I found out that I will be teaching 2nd grade this coming school year. I am very excited about teaching 2nd grade, but I am now in need of additional resources to supplement the curriculum, basic classroom supplies, and additional books that are at a 2nd-grade level. I have funded my classroom out of my own pocket for the last 5 years, as we only receive a small budget of $100-$125 from our school for the entire school year. This year, due to COVID-19, our district has taken a huge hit to our budget. Teachers will not only receive a pay cut, but we will have no budget for supplies, or our supplemental curriculum/programs, so everything will come out of my now reduced personal budget. If my classroom is funded, I would be able to purchase individual supplies (communal supplies are no longer allowed), a phonics curriculum, math manipulatives from Hand2Mind, appropriate books for my classroom library and additional resources to supplement my reading and math curriculum.
