As a young student, I had many teachers who helped foster a love of reading and writing. They had fun, kid-friendly literacy-rich environments. I too want to do this for my students. This year I'm trying to build a literacy-rich environment in my classroom. The donations will go towards books, reading and writing notebooks, annotation tools, flexible seating options and so much more. I want my students to walk into my classroom and feel comfortable. I want them to enjoy reading. My goal is to collect enough supplies so that my students and their families don't need to purchase classroom materials. I want the student to walk through the door and feel as though they've been whisked away to a world of adventure, mystery, and excitement!
