I have my Master's degree in Early Childhood Development from Oakland University and my Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from the University of Michigan.

I grew up in Flint, Michigan and spent my first ten years of teaching with the Flint Community Schools. I moved to San Antonio in 2009 to teach with KIPP and immediately fell in love with the city, the people, the food, and culture. I am currently teaching in Texarkana, Texas and am ecstatic to be returning to San Antonio and teaching at Keystone!

When I am not at school, you can usually find me spending time with my family. My husband, William, is an Army Veteran, and is currently employed with the Department of Defense. My daughter, Sadie, is ten years old and will be entering 7th grade this fall. My oldest daughter, Mackenzie, is 18 and is in her second year at The Culinary Institute of America.

Aside from teaching and family, my passions include new adventures-traveling, bike riding, snowboarding, ballet, brewing kombucha tea, reading, and Spurs basketball. In a nutshell, I'm an educator, STEAMer, dreamer, world traveler, mother, and wife on a mission to positively impact the future.
