Erica Johnson

I've taught for 8 years now, counting home schooling which gives me a different flavor for the classroom. I enjoy seeing my kiddos learn in ways that pertain to them. I try to find ways to incorporate their cultures with books and projects that will bring them to life and give them substance. We write to other classrooms across America during the Christmas season, help with community functions, even particate with Operation Christmas Child. The thing is, showing children there is a life outside the walls they sit everyday and the little community to which they live is important so they can dream big and accomplish as much as they can reach for. That's what I'm here for. To give children a fighting chance in our country to be anything they want to be regardless of their circumstances in life.
