Emma Smith

I will be our school's first STEM lab teacher. I've been at this school since 2005 as a math/ science teacher in 3rd and 5th grades. I am editor of our yearbook, head of the Spelling Bee, and organize student announcers for awards day. I have always provided hands on learning opportunities for my students. I believe that's the best way to really understand and remember information. With the support of my principal I researched, visited schools, and took classes to learn more about STEM and Makerspace. My persistence paid off when I proposed that I become a STEM specials teacher. I am so excited to see all our students K-5 become scientists, Technology, engineers, mathematicians, creators, and inventors! I will be our school's first STEM lab teacher.
