I am a behavior specialist in a school that serves students with autism and other disabilities. I am also a certified behavior analyst and want the best for my students. I want them to learn how to navigate through life, good and bad. I want my students to learn to self- regulate and to exhibit appropriate behavior at school and in the community.
How will funding help my students?
I am a behavior specialist in a school that houses 4 self-contained autism units, 1 intensive autism unit and several students who are included in general education classes. I am trying to 1) build at least 18 sensory kits for the classrooms (self-contained and general education), 2) build a social story library, 3) build a visuals library and 4) add sensory items to our sensory/motor lab.
