Hello,

I hope this letter finds you all with joy, peace, health, and much happiness! I am beginning my 3rd year teaching in a school in Inkster. As many of you may know, the city of Inkster closed all their public schools a few years back. The leaders of my school decided that the children in Inkster needed an education and we became a school district last year! Although we are small, Prek-11th grade, we are mighty and have been charged with great task! Many of our students did not attend school when the Inkster schools closed as they did not feel welcome in the neighboring districts. We are seeking to change that! We are seeking to bring education back to Inkster through prayer and joy by creating a safe and secure environment for all learners.

I am extremely blessed to have been sent by God to this district! Our motto is Love, Laugh, and Learn and boy do we have a good time with these babies! It is not a job that everyone can do! However, God blessed me with a thick skin, a desire to teach those that no one else wants or can, and a firm belief that I can and do make a difference daily!

I would like to ask you all to pray for my coworkers and myself as we prepare for this upcoming school year. We have grown considerably! My first year, (I started October 28 and was the 4th teacher my Kindergarteners had) we had two Kindergartens. Last year, we jumped to 4 and this year, we are projected to have 4-8 classes, just for Kindergarten! We are continuing to flourish and the students coming to us are from all over. Last year, my brightest student lived in a shelter for most of the year, yet, he continued to thrive scoring at a first grade level on most tests. God is so good!

As we are a new and growing district, we need help! I am constantly looking to increase the amount of materials, specifically books for my classroom and district. If you would like to bless this district and these children with me, please consider selecting some books off my amazon wish list, (address below). They can be used and well loved! The students and myself will be eternally grateful as I cannot purchase all that I need for them myself! Here is my amazon wish list for the texts needed for my students:

Thank you for your time and prayers!
