Amanda Kennedy

Hello! My name is Amanda Kennedy! I have taught at an Adult Education Center for over 5 years now. It has been a wonderful experience! I have taught English to adult language learners, GED to students of all ages, and Adult Basic Education that includes computer skills, etc. I totally love my job!

However, until traditional K-12 schools, Adult Education Centers have minimal budgets. We are always having to cut costs and do-more-with-less. My classroom computers are over 10 years old. My classroom library, available to all students in the center, is made up mostly of used books I purchased myself and donations from locals. I would love to purchase more books for my classroom library. But, my DREAM is to fund 16 new desktop PCs for my classroom!
