Teaching Kindergarten is my passion. Spending all day with 5 & 6 years olds is not something everyone loves to do but spend an hour in my classroom and you will see the joyous faces of my students. After teaching in both a title 1 school and now a private school I have realized students at this age all need the same thing. A inviting classroom that is calm that they can call their own. That's where I need help. Every year I spend hundreds of dollars making sure my students feel comfortable in my classroom and that it is a place they enjoy being. Studies show children cannot learn when overwhelmed or in a place where their affective filter is high because it creates stress.
