Since I can remember, I have had a strong interest in pursuing a teaching career. I started my journey toward becoming a teacher at Purdue University Northwest – Calumet. I graduated in 2019 with a dual license in Elementary and Special Education, and plan to return to finish classes toward a Bachelor in Psychology. Throughout my studies, I have been placed in classrooms from grades K-5, as well as in special education, and I truly enjoy the uniqueness each grade brings. I am beyond excited to start my journey as a licensed teacher!

What will the funds be used for
Starting August, I will be working as an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher and I am so excited to start putting together my first classroom! I will be working with students who have developmental difficulties such as speech and vision problems, limited motor skills, sensory-processing difficulties or other learning challenges. These students have extra special needs for learning and it is my goal to accommodate each student in reaching their full potential. The list of materials I will need this year is endless and I would like my students to have everything they need to succeed! However, I cannot do it without a little of your help. Any donation will help me in my first year of teaching and is so very much appreciated. Huge thanks in advance ??♥️
I would like my students to have quiet-time areas with mats and pillows, as well as headphones to quiet the noise. Some of my students have sensory diets that need to be met with balls, sand, play dough, bubbles, brushes, weighted vests, manipulatives and items for sorting and counting. Only classroom supplies include classroom library, notebooks, pencils, markers, bins, decorations and much more!
