I have been a Kindergarten teacher since August of 2002. I LOVE teaching. Now do I love all of the paperwork, the testing/assessments and lack of funding for our kids? Of course not. But when one of my kids sounds out a word for the first time, writes a sentence without help or adds and can explain why...they get this look in their eyes of such excitement that it makes that all fade for a little while. I LOVE teaching.
If we do what is right for our kids (students)...everything else will come.”

What will the funds be used for
Can you imagine the impact we would have on EVERY child if we had the resources to give each child what he/she needed every day? I like to live in that dream world sometimes and hope that one day education will have the funds it needs. But since we do not live in that world, teachers need sites like this to help fund items for classrooms all over. By donating to my classroom, you will allow me to provide my students with items for the classroom (books, learning games, technology, snacks for those who can’t afford them or items to store all these things). You will allow me to purchase items for them to use at home use to increase their learning (books, manipulatives, learning games, etc,). We (as teachers) spend a lot of our own money to buy snacks, games, storage items, books, and so much more for our children every year that even the smallest donation would help. I wish our country valued teachers like they do athletic players. We would be able to do so much for our kids if it was like that. We are doing our best to build an amazing future by shaping the little minds we see each day. Don’t you want to be a part of that? Thank you for reading and if you don’t donate to my classroom, please donate to someone. Have a great day!
