I am a 3rd grade teacher at a private school with a class of 12 students. We do many projects that involve the use of recycled products, but I often go out and purchase my own supplies. S.T.E.M. projects (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) are a very hands on approach to learning and the kids really enjoy them. They are able to discover their abilities while working with relatively simple materials.

However, sometimes the materials that are needed for the project are materials that need to be purchased. As one can imagine, this gets very expensive and sometimes I would like to try other S.T.E.M. projects but there is a lack of funding. Therefore, I need your help in order to continue doing the projects. Things like plastic folders, fruit, balloons, to name a few, are examples of materials that are purchased.

Donors Choose is a great organization, but they will not help private schools. You must be public, which is a bit disheartening, to say the least. Classroom teachers all do the same job.....teach our future! Thank you for your time and I hope you consider donating to my classroom.
