This year marks my 25th year in the classroom. I am so excited about the changes happening in my room! Worksheets and textbooks are almost obsolete as we transition into a more tech - centered approach. Students are becoming creators rather than consumers, using Google Apps and video creation software. Their learning is being presented to a wider audience and their voices are being heard. We have become globally connected through Skype and Google Hangouts, and we look forward to connecting virtually with experts while taking virtual field trips online. I am inspired and excited about this shift in pedagogy. It has increased student engagement while preparing them for their future in the 21st century.
