Students this year
As a teacher of seven years and in two different schools, I have taught over 1,400 students. I understand this may seem small to some, but I would do anything for these 1,400 students. I do whatever I can for my students as I have taught in an urban, at risk community as well as a suburban, low income community. Because of this, this motivates to provide a safe and comforting environment for my students and make it feel like a home with couches, pillows, rugs, and soft lighting. Additionally, I provide them food, clothes, and many other opportunities. I care a lot for my students and wish I could give them everything as I don’t have kids if my own. Unfortunately, my paycheck doesn’t allow that, so any small bit will help give a student a backpack, pay for his P.E. clothes, buy a box of protein bars, or pay for a college application fee. Thank you for supporting my students!
How will funding help my students?
I buy my students everything from pencils to granola bars to homecoming dresses. I buy this from my own heart and wallet and will continue to do so for as long as I am a teacher. I live my students and will do anything for them. So, if I spend $30 on a blanket for my classroom so the students that are freezing can be warm, I’ll do it. And I will continue to do so. I hope someone will help me continuing providing security and safety for my students.
