I am a 3rd grade bilingual teacher at a Title 1 school. I will be starting my 9th year of teaching in a couple of weeks and I am eager to meet my newest group of kiddos! I teach in a small town SW of Houston that was severely impacted by Harvey. On top of that, the vast majority of our students come from low socio-economic households and the funding would ensure that my students do not have to worry about basic school supplies.

Their focus and attention should be on learning and any funding would be used to make sure that they receive the best, quality education regardless of where they live or where they come from. I truly believe that all students can learn. As teachers, we just have to provide them with the necessary tools to be successful. This funding will help me achieve this.
