"If my students learn the curriculum, then I've done my job. If my students learn to love others and themselves while learning, I have accomplished my goal as a teacher of young human beings."
Years of experience
Students this year
My students know me as Ms. F, because my last name is a bit difficult to pronounce. I am in my 2nd year of teaching Kindergarten. I graduated with my Bachelor's of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from Augusta University. I teach in the Richmond County School District at Freedom Park (Pre-K - 8th) School. I enjoy working with children and love to see them succeed in all their endeavors. I dreamed of becoming a teacher when I was 7 years old because I was inspired by all my elementary teachers. I completed my first year of teaching in May 2019. I wish to provide more opportunities and manipulatives in my classroom to help guide and maximize student learning. I love to read, write (songs for my class and for church), sing and play my ukulele. I am the Youth Vice-President for my church. I taught Sunday School for 5years and still working with the youth and children of my church. Teaching is a passion and passions do not give up when things get tough. I love being in this profession because it's the one profession that teaches all other professions.
How will funding help my students?
Funding will help my students receive tools to help with their education. As a fairly new teacher (2nd year), my classroom is bare compared to the veteran teachers on my hall/ grade level. I would love to provide a lot of necessary tools for an exciting learning experience for my new Kinders this year!
