Teaching has always been something I've been passionate about, however, the road to become a teacher wasn't an easy one for me. I first started out going to art school for photography but quickly realized my passion for teaching greatly outweighed my passion for photography. I transferred from School of the Museum of Fine Arts to Lasell College where I got my Bachelors degree - through Lasell I landed my first job in the teaching field as a SpEd Aide for 3 1/2 year in Newton Public Schools. During this 3 1/2 years I worked with some amazing teachers who became mentors and friends giving me such hands on experiences in the classroom. I then continued my education through American International College and got my Masters in Moderate Disabilities - then landing a maternity leave long term sub position in Boston Public Schools, where I again met some amazing teachers who became mentors and friends and made me realize I was ready for my own classroom. This 2019-2020 school year I will be a Special Education PreK teacher in Medford Public schools and could not be more excited to begin my teaching career!
