“Our abilities are not what make us different they are what challenge us to be stronger and compassionate.”
Years of experience
Students this year
I began teaching young children and made the move to high school a few years ago. I work with students with severe cognitive delays, physical disabilities and/or autism. My students are amazing young adults. I try to challenge them everyday whether it is reading or by greeting someone. Our goal is to allow our students to learn a skill that will help them in the future. My project is our school garden. By allowing students the opportunity to work independently and within a small group they will learn the fundamentals of working on a farm, as well as developing social skills, math, ELA and science skills.

How will funding help my students?
The funding you provide will help my students with severe cognitive disabilities and autism. We are building a school garden. Students will plant vegetables, harvest and sell our fresh produce at our school farmers market.
